NOTICE OF VACANCY ON SCHOOL BOARD

WAVERLY SCHOOL DISTRICT 14-5

 

The following school board positions will become vacant due to the expiration of the present terms of office of the following school board members.

 

(2) Two-3 year terms currently held by Karla Dagel and Josie Ries

 

Circulation of nominating petitions may begin on April 6, 2021 and petitions may be filed in the office of the business manager located at the Waverly/South Shore School 319 Mary Place Waverly SD 57201 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. central time not later than 5:00 p.m. on the 7th day of May, 2021.

 The April School Board Meeting will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 beginning at 6:30 pm.

CHILD FIND/DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENING

     The Waverly/South Shore School will be holding 3 to 5 year old Developmental Screening on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 8:30 am until 3:00 pm for all children living in the Waverly/South Shore School District or open enrolled to the district.  The screening will be held at the Waverly Township Hall (former St. Joseph’s Church).  Children who will be entering kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1, 2021, and children entering preschool must be 4 years old by September 1, 2021.  Three year olds must be 3 years of age by the date of screening.  Personnel from the Northeast Educational Cooperative and the Waverly/South Shore School will be administering the screenings. 

     All parents of children ages 3 to 5 (not currently enrolled in Kindergarten) are asked to please call Staci Buchholz at Waverly/South Shore School, 886-9174 to schedule an appointment.

Waverly-South Shore School is excited that the free meal program has been extended through the end of the school year!

If your son or daughter has tested positive for COVID-19 and wants to participate in SDHSAA sanctioned activities, they must be cleared by a physician to do so.

Parents and Student Body (may need a special pass for admittance)

Parents Only - may need special pass for admittance

No Fans and/or possibility of no game

*  Special Passes may be sent home with athletes for their parents/families to use for Tiers II and III. These may also need to be used at away activities.  Please watch the announcements and website for activity attendance information.
